LIONEL SIMS
Mr. Sims concentrates his practice for Plastech Engineered Products in the following areas: commercial litigation, labor and employment and contractual litigation.
Mr. Sims supervises litigation for Plastech across the country and in Canada and Mexico. Mr. Sims has also co-authored a chapter on public employers’ drug testing policy.
Mr. Sims prior experience also includes being Litigation Chairperson for Detroit Public Schools where he received a One Million Dollar Judgment on behalf of the Detroit Public Schools.
Mr. Sims received his law degree from the University of Detroit Law School in 2000 where he received the Wolverine Bar Foundation Scholarship. Mr. Sims holds a B.S. in Corporate Finance from Wayne State University.
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the National Bar Association and is a past president of the Wolverine Bar Association and General Counsel for the International Detroit Black Expo.
Recently, Mr. Sims formed a Sports Management Company tailored to provide legal service, real estate purchasing and financial guidance to professional athletes. Mr. Sims has been certified by the National Football League as an agent/contract advisor along with successfully negotiating contracts for basketball players in South America and Europe.
