Diane Hutcherson received a dual B.A. degree in Political Science and English in 1982 from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Wayne State University in 1986.
She is currently an associate attorney with Hom, Killeen, Siefer, Arene & Hoehn, the in-house counsel for AAA /Michigan. Her current duties are in the referral unit, where she monitors cases handled by outside referral counsel in many states, particularly Illinois and Indiana.
Prior to working for Schoolmaster & Hom, Ms. Hutcherson worked as a trial attorney in the public sector, specifically for the cities of Highland Park and Detroit and for the Legal Aid and Defender Association of Detroit. She is Immediate Past President of the Wolverine Bar Association.
She has tutored law students in the area of civil procedure and has worked on a recurring basis as a tutor for law school graduates in the Straker/Wolverine Bar Association Minority Bar Passage Program. She is on the Board of Directors for Wayne State Law School Alumni Association.
She was appointed to the Judicial Qualifications Committee for the State Bar of Michigan in August 2007 and has taught, since 2002 as a paralegal instructor for Wayne County Community College District.
