Michelle A. Carter is an associate at Bodman LLP. She represents clients invovled in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. Ms. Carter also has experience with labor and employment law, counseling employers regarding claims of sexual harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination.
Ms. Carter has served as a board member for the Wolverine Bar Association since the 2006-2007 term, and currently serves as Secretary. Additionally, Ms. Carter serves as a board member for the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Barristers’ Section, Rutgers-Camden School of Law Alumni Association, and Volunteers of America Michigan. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the National Bar Assocation, and the American Bar Association
Ms. Carter received her juris doctorate from Rutgers-Camden School of Law. In law school, she interned as a law clerk for the Honorable Joel B. Rosen of the United States District Court of New Jersey. Additioanlly, she served as vice president of the Black Law Students Association and student coach of the National Bar Association Moot Court Team. Ms. Carter is also admitted to the bars of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She began her practice in New Jersey as a law clerk for the Honorable Theodore Z. Davis of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
